A catch-all mailbox receives messages sent to inactive email addresses under the very same domain. For example, an email message sent to the miswritten suport@domain.com will go to support@domain.com in case the catch-all feature has been enabled for the latter. In this way, you can get emails from colleagues or customers who may have sent a message to your email address with a typographical error or to an old one, which they may still have, but you have already disabled. Just one single mailbox per domain name can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be enabled for such a mailbox. The latter is due to the fact that at a certain point you may begin receiving spam email messages in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding limitation means that the spam will not be redirected to a third-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Hosting

You will be able to set up a catch-all e-mailbox without effort in case you’ve got a hosting account with us. The Email Manager in our in-house developed Hepsia Control Panel is fully featured, yet surprisingly easy to work with, and it will permit you to enable various features, including the catch-all one, with only several mouse clicks. All the email addresses that you have set up will be shown alphabetically in this section and on the right-hand side of each one you’ll see a tiny "Catch-all" sign. Clicking on it once will enable this option, clicking it again will deactivate it. As you can have just one such mailbox per domain, our system will alert you if you already have another mailbox with this feature enabled or if you have active email forwarding.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

The catch-all functionality can be enabled without effort in case you have a semi-dedicated server plan with our company. All the email addresses that you have set up using the domains hosted in your account will be shown in the Email Manager section of your Hepsia hosting Control Panel and you’ll find a small-size symbol conveniently located right next to each one. With only one click of the mouse, you can enable or disable the catch-all option for any mailbox of your choosing as long as there isn't another mailbox under that same domain with the option already activated and there isn't enabled email forwarding. Alternatively, you can right-click on an email address and enable this feature using the menu that will show up. If any of the requirements for creating a catch-all mailbox is not met, our system will notify you, but will not replace or deactivate anything automatically.
